The Port Cities Program (PCP) is an integrated collaboration and economic development effort focused on the unique needs and resources of coastal and inland port cities. This program brings together stakeholders in each port city to identify its or its region’s unique challenges and resources associated with topics such as: general commerce, air standards compliance, energy and fuels, transportation, clean beaches and water, habitats, jobs creation and others.
EASE expects to inaugurate PCP in six geographically and economically diverse cities between fall 2010 and fall 2011. The six cities for the program will be selected based upon local community interest and support.
The EASE Port Cities Program enables port cities to think and act together for shared resiliency. At the same time PCP allows each individual city and region to plan and grow its own programs and projects. EASE on-line collaboration, planning and Marketplace capabilities foster an alliance of shared interests among all cities, groups and programs, regardless of their location. The Port Cities Program focuses on developing market growth opportunities for all participants.
